Matthew Mead is best known for his classic work The Almost Christian Discovered.
The present work was found as handwritten manuscripts in 1703 and remained unpublished until 1836. It was published along with five sermons on Ezekiel 37 concerning the Jews.
Here are 12 sermons on Hebrews 10:31, “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.” These are penetrating, convicting, and informative sermons on the terrible fate awaiting the impenitent. These predate the sermons of Jonathan Edwards on the same subject.
This is great material for use in personal evangelism. It is also of great comfort to those who have repented to see what they have been spared from.
