Most of the good books on Complementarianism are too long. Men and Women in the Church is great because it is shorter but still has enough depth to make a strong biblical case for what could be described as 'broad complementarianism'. DeYoung is thoroughly biblical and not afraid to say things which could be considered controversial but he does so in a kind, pastoral, not overly polemical way. This has definitely become my go to book to give to people who are wanting to explore what the bible has to say about Men and Women in the Church.
Kevin DeYoung has carefully researched and presented Scriptural arguments that reflect a consistent view of the role of men and women in the church. This book will make an excellent resource for any congregation seeking to seriously consider the claims of God for men and women in our times.
