I bought this book for a someone having a ‘0’ birthday. Then read it myself. And ordered more copies for other friends.
Packer faces the creaturely limitations of ageing with gritty realism. Eccles 12 gives the picture of diminishing capacity. However, Packer refuses to male this an excuse for the western notion of indulgent ageing. Instead he urges a sprint with zeal to the finishing line of our return to the Lord.
The book is physically small and uses a large font - Packer himself had major eye issues towards his end. However, its a book with a big message and well worth a careful read.
