Why won't God reveal his special will for my life already? Because he doesn't intend to... So says Kevin DeYoung in this punchy book about making decisions the godly way.
Many of us are listening for the still small voice to tell us what's next instead of listening to the clear voice in Scripture telling us what's now. God does have a will for your life, but it is the same as everyone else's: seek first the kingdom of God. And quit floundering.
With pastoral wisdom and tasteful wit, DeYoung debunks unbiblical ways of understanding God's will and constructs a simple but biblical alternative: live like Christ. He exposes the frustrations of our waiting games and unfolds the freedom of finding God's will in Scripture and then simply doing it.
"False understandings of God's will infect so much of popular Christianity. The church desperately needs a rescue from this confusion. Thankfully, Kevin DeYoung offers that much needed rescue..."?
- Albert Mohler, President, The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary
I write this to encourage other believers whom are hungry to know Gods will for your life. I confess I have struggled exactly how this book speaks, I am blessed and praise God for this brother in Christ for this book of spiritual insight. I am a procrastinator whom is obsessed with pleasing God, but also fearful in making decisions in my life as I did not know what God's will was for me to make many decisions. it is so simple as this book speaks. I don't want to spoil the content, but I exhort you brethren to read this book. God is in control, just walk by faith. God will work through your decisions. Obviously do not make decisions that are sinful and unwise, but walk according to His word. Glorify Him in everything you do and trust His Hand is with you in the decisions you make. Trust Him through the afflictions and the joy of life. Rom 8:28 And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.-
