As American culture has been in the throes of a battle for marriage and the family, the churches have not been silent. Pastors and theologians have identified the enemies and alerted the churches. But the need still stand to train men to be biblical singles, biblical husbands, biblical fathers, and biblical older men. We cannot take it for granted that conversion gives a man all he needs to know about manhood, marriage, child raising, and leadership. Sadly, manly churches have allowed the culture to dictate their views of gender, marriage, and the family. We cannot be passive but must become proactive in teaching our people these things. We must be training our men in these areas.
