In today's culture so much pressure is put on us to feed our children well. Beginning with God helps parents with young children to explore the Bible with their child. This book provides a simple way to start your child in a regular habit of reading God's Word and growing to know God, who loves them.
Along the way you will read about the beginning of everything; meet Abraham, who was called a 'friend of God'; and be thrilled by the wonderful things said and done by God's perfect Son, Jesus.
This book features daily short passages, full-colour stickers, activities to do and all works well with The Beginner's Bible. Also included are sections on how to use the book and how to pray with your child.
This can be achieved at breakfast time with a 3 year old. It’s really simple and perfect for a first devotional to do together. Has an opening question to elicit discussion, bible story (which you read from the beginners bible), 2-3 super basic comprehension questions and a prayer. Then a sticker to put on the page.
You don’t have to do any prep but there is an option for it (optional extra activities to do as a way into the story are simple like ‘share a photo of yourself as a a baby’.) personally I just open up each morning with my child, follow the prompts to work through the devotional and then shut again! The stickers for each story are perfect for encouraging your child to cooperate and finish the devotional.
Only loses a star because it’s black and white print inside which is good for the earth (good on them for that) but means it’s less appealing for the child.
You can do it with any kids bible but the stickers won’t match the images in your bible and depending on how the kids story is covered the bible questions might not be worded in a way that’s easy for them to get the answer if the story didn’t word it the same way- so you may need to modify them
