I am not what I do, but what He has done

Just a little over a month ago, I started my primary carer’s leave for our baby boy.

The lack of “work” was liberating at first, then it slowly affected me, more than I had initially anticipated.

Yes, I was still doing things that added value-but it was different-different in a way that I hadn’t been able to articulate, until I met this very timely book.

In this short book, the author convincingly dismantles the modern lie of “I am what I do” and presents a better way-the gospel way.

What I do doesn’t define me. I don’t need constant approval and affirmation from my colleagues, bosses or even myself. If God has accepted me while I was still a sinner, I don’t need to thirst for anyone else’s approval or a grand sense of achievement. My identity confidently rests in Him.

Highly recommend this book!
