In today’s world, we can feel as if everything is shifting beneath our feet. Headlines are filled with news of uncertainty. Social media presents a constant stream of opinions and pressures, making it hard to find solid ground. How can you stay hopeful and grounded when everything around you feels unpredictable?
Jesus’ disciples found themselves in a similar situation as they followed him through the final days of his earthly ministry. In John 16–21, they wrestled with fear, confusion, and uncertainty.
But Jesus provided words of encouragement. His promises of the coming of the Holy Spirit, peace beyond understanding, and the certainty of his victory over death gave the disciples deep comfort.
Remember that this comfort and assurance is for you, too. Believe in the truth of God’s word. It will give you true peace in uncertainty and guidance when you feel overwhelmed.
