Anonymous I received this book as a gift from a friend who also really enjoyed it. Less than 100 pages in I decided it was already my new favourite book!
Not only does it give such an insight into the lifestyle of a devout Muslim community and Islamic beliefs, it also displays God's incredible power, love and grace and how he can radically change lives in the most unbelievable circumstances! Esther's story reveals God's character as not just a sovereign, powerful saviour, but also as a loving, gracious, caring father.
Reading about Esther's personal encounters with God, the miracles he performed in her life, and the way that God gave her the words to prove that He really is the one, true, real God has solidified my own faith and brought me so much joy in the Lord! So touching and moving, I cried so many times out of pure love and awe for our Lord and Saviour!
And just reading about the things that Esther endured because of her faith and the way she clings to God is so empowering and there were so many times that I found myself thinking 'gosh, this girl was so strong in her faith that not even the utmost pain and suffering could shake her love for God!!' Romans 8:38-39 says "For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
5 stars is not enough to capture how incredible this book is! I am recommending it to all of my friends and family, please find the chance to read this book, it will change your life!
