Many people believe that salvation was created by themselves; either by choosing to believe through them, or by their merits. The Bible clearly says that man cannot take the first step of reconciliation with God on his own; if God does not give man a new life, man is spiritually dead and powerless. Barrett explores the doctrine of rebirth (telling the process of rebirth) and points out what happens when people are saved. He explained what is the "gospel call" and the "effective call" of the Holy Spirit, so that we can understand that what really creates our salvation is not anything we do, but the new heart and new life given by God.
