What do I like about Christopher Ash’s Forgotten Prophet?  It is exemplary exposition—he pulls in other texts but rivets attention on this one story of Micaiah’s stubborn faithfulness.  It is rightly balanced—it is both realistic yet bracing; he keeps us from both a naïve optimism and a dismal despair over ministry.  And it is lastingly useful—he deals in solid principles of ministry not a bunch of flimsy ‘how-tos.’  Maybe the ‘forgotten prophet’ will be remembered after all!
