Biblical Theology
Biblical theology traces the development of a topic throughout the biblical narrative. It helps us to understand how the Old Testament and New Testament tell a harmonious story, so we don't make the error of thinking the Old Testament is obsolete.
Some books like God’s Big Picture (by Vaughan Roberts) present the entire story of the Bible in a cohesive way. Others focus on the place of individual books of the Bible in the history of redemption such as Geerhardus Vos’s Biblical Theology.
