Wayne Grudem is an excellent systematic theologian. In this little introductory book he deals with the biblical and scientific evidence for personhood, and the arguments both for and against abortion. I found him helpful on understanding some of the issues, but found its applications political in its American context. Best to read alongside Vaughan Roberts two "Talking Points" books on Abortion and Assisted Suicide for their more helpful theological and pastoral insights.
