Book Review: Why Does God Let Bad Things Happen (Chris Morphew)

G'day, Tom here from Reformers Bookshop.

"Why does God let bad things happen?" is a big question. It's a question that all of us answer at some point—and you'd be surprised, but I think it's a question that many children ask about Christianity as they're growing up.

To address that issue, Chris Morphew, a chaplain at a school here in Sydney, has written this book to help us through that problem. It's really addressed to nine-plus years of age, but anyone could read it—it's very easy to read.

He gives you a wonderful, positive argument for why God allows suffering in our life. It reads very warmly. It deals with real issues. He's got stories in there that he's had to deal with, and that kids he's talked to have had to deal with.

So it really applies the truth of the gospel and the good news of Jesus Christ to this question—for kids.
